A: There is no limit to the number of nominations. Only completed applications of eligible nominees and applicants will be considered. The Attorney General will also use his or her discretion to determine a reasonable number of appointments in a given year.
Q: Can unsuccessful candidates be re-nominated in subsequent years?
A: Applications are valid for 3 years. After that time, a new complete application package will need to be submitted to the Minister’s office.

A: Yes, retired lawyers are eligible for appointment, so long as they held a practising certificate for at least 10 years.
