Approaching the pier.
Rock on the left was smooth and white, and very prominent. On the other side of the rock were the old Anglican mission and R.C.M.P. detachment.

Post house - very comfortable. Living room contained a billiard table. Kept spotless by native women. Hill directly behind the house was of sand, from which the walks and tennis court were made.

Lake Harbor
Contraptions for mosquitoes. Mine belonged to the captain. Mosquitoes here in millions. Picture taken on the long pier made of rock and sand. At low tide boats could come only to the end of it. The sign on the hill some ten or fifteen feet in height first made by Bill Smith.
