Boiler, Pressure Vessels, and Refrigeration
Inspection and Technical Services (ITS) is responsible for Boiler, Pressure Vessel, and Refrigeration Plant safety in the province of Manitoba. Through physical and remote inspections, we are committed to working with industry and owners to reduce safety risk by confirming compliance with The Steam and Pressure Plants Act, The Power Engineers Act, and their Regulations as set out by the Government of Manitoba.
ITS works with industry to oversee the safe construction, installation, and operation of Boilers, Pressure Vessels, and Refrigeration Plants within the province of Manitoba. ITS works with equipment owners, manufacturers, installers, and licensed power engineers to ensure that safety standards are followed. ITS enforces Boiler, Pressure Vessel, and Refrigeration Plant safety standards through design registration, inspections, examinations, and licensing.
