Biography

Reg Helwer was elected to his first term as MLA for Brandon West in 2011 and re-elected in 2016 and 2019. In addition to his duties as MLA, he served as the legislative assistant to the minister of finance, as a member of Treasury Board, and as vice-chair of the Public Accounts Committee. A long-time resident of Brandon, he received a bachelor of arts in political science from Brandon University and received his master of science in agricultural economics from Purdue University. He and his wife Aynsley have four children.
