Minister's Message

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our department's website - your guide to government programs and services supporting the sport, culture and heritage organizations and activities that contribute so much to the wonderful quality of life we enjoy here in Manitoba.

From our government's continuing efforts in encouraging artistic and sport excellence, to the preservation of the culture and heritage that is so uniquely Manitoban, this page will help you learn more about how we are supporting these vibrant sectors.

Sport promotes fitness and well-being for individuals, while also bringing people together in the spirit of competition and community pride. Culture reflects our societal values and shared humanity, while heritage reminds us of our past and how it shapes our present and future.

We are proud of our progress, helping make Manitoba the best place to live, work and play!
