Funeral Board of Manitoba


The Funeral Board of Manitoba’s Compliance Program began January 1, 2012. The program is designed to ensure all licensees in Manitoba comply with The Funeral Directors and Embalmers Act, The Cemeteries Act, their regulations and the Code of Ethics.

The Funeral Board of Manitoba has expanded the program to include inspections of crematories in Manitoba. The Inspector will attend a location and complete the corresponding report during the visit. A staff member of the business must accompany the Inspector at all times during the inspection. Once the Inspector has completed the report(s), he/she will ask the staff member to sign before his/her departure. At this time, the staff member may photocopy the report should he/she wish to do so.
