Compliance


The Funeral Board of Manitoba’s Compliance Program began January 1, 2012 and is designed to ensure all licensees in Manitoba comply with The Funeral Directors and Embalmers Act, The Cemeteries Act, their regulations and the Code of Ethics.

The inspector visits funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoriums in Manitoba to inspect the premises and records. He completes the corresponding Compliance and/or Record Keeping Reports during these visits. A staff member of the business must accompany the Inspector at all times during the inspection. Once the Inspector has completed the report(s), he will ask the staff member to sign before his departure. At this time, the staff member may photocopy the report should he/she wish to do so.
