Financial incentives

Join the thousands of nursing professionals making a positive difference right here. The Manitoba government is offering new nurses financial incentives to build their careers, and lives, in Manitoba.

From licensure reimbursements and weekend premiums to incentives for working in remote locations across the province, becoming a part of our public health-care system is good for everyone.

New nurses are eligible for these rewarding incentives:

Weekend Premium
Increase your earnings by $8-per-hour when you work weekend hours.

Licensure Reimbursement
Get your 2024 nursing license fees reimbursed (for nurses on payroll as of December 1, 2023).

Full-Time Incentive
Get rewarded with a premium of up to $10,000 per year for accepting a full-time position. Eligible nurses can expect to receive the first payment in early 2024.

Travel Nurse Incentive
Travel/locum nurses receive a premium for working shifts in remote/northern Manitoba sites.

To learn more about incentives, eligibility and how to participate, ask your human resources representative during the hiring process.
