What’s New at Apprenticeship

NEW: Minimum Wage Rate Review for Apprentices
The provincial minimum wage rate is scheduled to rise to $15.00 per hour by October 1, 2023. To ensure that apprentices in Manitoba continue to earn a wage that is appropriate to their skilled trades program, and meets the needs and demands of industry, the Apprenticeship and Certification Board is inviting industry stakeholders to provide their feedback. You are asked to participate in an online survey through the EngageMB website, which will be available on February 24, 2023. The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. A backgrounder will be included with the consultation to provide some contextual information to help inform your response. The deadline to complete the survey is March 17, 2023.
