Canada Post Disruption
Should there be mail disruption in spring 2025 related to a strike involving Canada Post Corporation (CPC) and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) the following distribution plan will apply:
Documents will be available for pick up in person at our office on the main floor at 111 Lombard Avenue, Wpg, MB
If you require a copy of a letter or technical training results those can be provided to you electronically by emailing apprenticeship@gov.mb.ca.

33rd Highest Achievement Awards
The Highest Achievement Awards is a formal awards ceremony held each year to honour the most outstanding new journeypersons, and recognize employers and leaders in Manitoba's skilled trades.
This year's 33rd Annual Highest Achievement Awards ceremony was held on May 1, 2025 at the Manitoba Legislative Building. The Highest Achievement Awards celebrated individual accomplishments from recently certified journeypersons who were the highest-achieving graduates in their respective trades, and two additional awards were presented to individuals achieving the highest scored through the trade qualification stream.

Only Online Apprenticeship Applications through AccessManitoba accepted!
As of January 15, 2025, Apprenticeship Manitoba will no longer be accepting paper applications (including digital copies of paper applications) for apprenticeship agreements. Only applications submitted through AccessManitoba will be accepted.
If you would like guidance in applying, please refer to the Supports/Tutorials page on the Access Manitoba website.

Apprenticeship Manitoba Regulatory Changes
Regulatory Amendments to the Apprenticeship and Certification System
Several important changes have been made to the apprenticeship and certification system in Manitoba, to enable efficient program response to emerging industry needs, align Manitoba with interprovincial Red Seal standards, and to focus on high-quality apprentice training and safety.

The 18th annual Apprenticeship Manitoba Awards of Distinction will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024. The awards gala celebrates those who have shared their time and talent to train apprentices and to raise the profile of apprenticeship training in the skilled trades in Manitoba.
