The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU today provides information regarding Glen Gregory Tyler POZNIAK, 43 years of age, a convicted sexual offender considered high risk to sexually re-offend against both pre-pubescent males and adolescent males.

On July 17, 2025, POZNIAK was released from Stony Mountain Institution on statutory release after serving a portion of his sentence for convictions of Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Interference (3 counts), Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication Any Child Pornography, and Possession of Child Pornography.

On September 23, 2015, POZNIAK received a 13 year custodial sentence (which includes presentence custody credit of 23 months, and 22.5 days) resulting in an 11 year and 7 day custodial sentence going forward for the offences of Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Interference (3 counts), Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication Any Child Pornography, and Possession of Child Pornography.

POZNIAK is expected to reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Although POZNIAK has completed some sex offender programming while in custody, he has not completed the entirety of the programming offered. He remains high risk to sexually re-offend. Pre-pubescent males and adolescent males are at risk.

This information is provided to enable members of the public to take suitable measures to protect themselves. Any form of vigilante activity or other unreasonable conduct directed at Mr. POZNIAK will not be tolerated.

Background information:

Glen Gregory Tyler POZNIAK is a 43-year-old male with a lengthy criminal record including convictions for Sexual Exploitation; Sexual Interference (3 counts); Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication Any Child Pornography; and Possession of Child Pornography, Break and Enter commit Robbery; Robbery; uttering threats, Assault causing bodily harm, assault peace officer and multiple breaches of court orders.

On September 3, 2015 POZNIAK received a 13 year custodial sentence (which includes presentence custody credit of 23 months, and 22.5 days) resulting in an 11 year and 7 day custodial sentence going forward for the offences of Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Interference (3 counts); Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication Any Child Pornography; and Possession of Child Pornography.

POZNIAK committed these offences against several minor victims while in a position of trust and authority which occurred over several years and consisted of ongoing sexually violent abuse. The sexual violence committed against the minor victims included providing alcohol and illegal drugs, making Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM) images and video and involved other perpetrators online. Police found extreme and violent CSAM and CSEM images and video on POZNIAK’s cellular phone and computer, some of which included unknown victims and some were known to POZNIAK.

POZNIAK was released from custody on July 17, 2025.

Upon release, POZNIAK will be subject to the following conditions:

  • Not to consume, purchase or possess alcohol.
  • Not to enter drinking establishments.
  • Not to consume, purchase or possess drugs other than prescribed medication taken as prescribed.
  • Not to be in the presence of any children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult that has been previously approved by the court.
  • Not to be in, near or around places where children under the age of 16 years are likely to congregate such as day cares, elementary and secondary schools, parks, and playgrounds, swimming pools and recreational centres unless accompanied by a responsible adult previously approved in writing by his parole supervisor.
  • Follow a treatment plan/program to be arranged by his parole supervisor.
  • Reside as directed by the Correctional Service of Canada.
  • Not to have any direct or indirect contact with the victims.
  • Immediately report all relationships and friendships and any changes to the status of the relationships to his parole supervisor.
  • Not to own or possess more than one mobile communication device or Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card without written permission of his parole supervisor.
  • Not to own, use or possess any technological device that would allow him to access to the internet, unless previously approved in writing by the court his parole supervisor.

In addition, Pozniak he will be subject to a lifetime prohibition from:

  • Attending a public park or public swimming area where persons under 16 years are present or can reasonably be expected to be present or a daycare centre, school ground, playground, or community centre.
  • Seeking or continuing any employment, whether for pay or as a volunteer in a capacity that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards persons under the age of 16 years.
  • Using the internet or other digital network, unless it is done in accordance with conditions set by the court.
  • Accessing the internet or computers unless it is at a job site and is work related and not possess a digital device that can access the internet.

POZNIAK will also be subject to a ten-year weapons prohibition preventing possession of any firearm, crossbow, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, ammunition, explosive substances, or all such things.

POZNIAK is considered a high risk to re-offend in a sexually violent manner against both pre-pubescent males and adolescent males.

POZNIAK is expected to take up residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
