Community Corrections Programs
Community Corrections services cover all non-custody, community-based offender services and programs. Twenty-seven community corrections offices are located across the province, eleven in First Nations communities. With help from volunteers and other service providers, probation officers supervise:
- probation and conditional sentences
- youth justice committees
- custody reintegration programs
- court reports
- provision of behaviour intervention programs
Special programs are designed for:
- sex offenders
- female offenders
- assault offenders
- custody offenders re-entering their communities
- Aboriginal offenders.
Programs and supervision are based on the risks presented by offenders and how likely they are to re-offend. Higher-risk offenders receive more intensive services and programs. Partnerships between Corrections and community agencies improve the delivery of correctional programs and services.

Programs at Manitoba Correctional Centres
Adult correctional centres provide programs that focus on inmate personal development and growth through education opportunities, rehabilitation programs, vocational training, work experience and individual counselling.
Youth correctional centres provide programs that focus on the youth's personal development and growth, including education opportunities, rehabilitation programs, vocational training, work experience and spiritual programs.
