Driver Licence

Professional drivers must meet certain criteria in order to operate a particular class of vehicle, under Manitoba's licence classification system (PDF).

Applicants for professional driver's licences must hold a valid minimum Class 5A (authorized) or Class 5I (intermediate) driver's licence, be at least 18 years of age and medically fit. They also must be able to meet the following standards:

  1. medical examination report (hearing and vision standards)
  2. knowledge test
  3. authorized instruction
  4. road test
