Park Fees

Manitoba Parks offers some of the lowest park entrance fees and camping fees in North America, making our provincial parks as accessible as possible to everyone. Fees are charged to help recover operating costs and the delivery of services.

Park Vehicle Permits

Motor vehicles are required to display a valid park vehicle permit while visiting a provincial park. Motorcyclists must have a valid park entry permit in their possession.  If you enter a park on foot or by some other self-propelled means (e.g. bicycle), then no park vehicle permit is required.

Purchase and print your vehicle permit online before you visit at manitobaelicensing.ca.  For those that do not have access to a printer, or need alternate payment arrangements (cash/debit), you can purchase your permits from a local retailer or a park office.

You will be able to go online, create a customer profile, select the desired permit type (annual, daily or casual), enter your vehicle licence plate number, and checkout as you would with any other online purchase. A digital copy of the permit will be available to print through your elicensing account.  Park Vehicle Permits must be printed out and displayed in your vehicles windshield.

Permits must show the matching vehicle licence plate number and be clearly displayed in the vehicles windshield.  Permits must be displayed year-round. We recommend you purchase and print your vehicle permit online at home before arriving.

The following parks are maintained by commercial operators and may have their own fees for day use and camping. Provincial park vehicle permits are not required in these locations: Grand Valley, Margaret Bruce, Overflowing River, Rocky Lake, Sasagiu Rapids.  Contact the local operators for more information.

Indigenous peoples practicing traditional activities
Manitoba Parks recognizes and supports the rights of Indigenous peoples to conduct traditional harvesting and ceremonial activities on provincial park lands.

Indigenous peoples (First Nation, Status Indian, and Métis peoples within recognized harvesting zones), engaged in the traditional pursuits of hunting, fishing or trapping for food, gathering or ceremonial activities do not require a Park Vehicle Permit. To clarify, permits would continue to be required for access to recreation services and facility areas outside of traditional activities (such as campgrounds or visiting a beach) and the conducting of commercial activities (with the exception of wild rice harvesting).
