Trails Conditions & Advisories

Please report trail maintenance concerns and share your trail experiences with the local park office.
Trail Activity Designations change in the winter season. Avoid conflicts with other park visitors by using the correct trail for your activity. Always read signs posted at trailheads that specify which activities are permitted.
Never walk on groomed ski tracks!
Winter Grooming Reports:
Winter Trail Interactive Map - Pan and zoom to explore the map, and click on a symbol to see grooming updates. Use the Activity Filters (blue icons at bottom of map) to find trails for skiing, walking, snowshoeing or fat biking, along with skating ice and toboggan hills.
For snowmobile trails, view the Snoman Interactive Map for details. All snowmobile trails in provincial parks are designated Snoman trails and Snopasses are required.
Advisories & Closures:
Please respect all closures. Do not cross barricades.
Hunting Seasons Open: Hunting occurs in many provincial parks, and trail users should be aware that hunters may be encountered in the park they are visiting. Stay on designated trails and always keep dogs on leash. Wearing high visibility clothing is recommended in the fall. More information on hunting in provincial parks is available here
Nopiming Provincial Park
- Fire of 83 Self-guiding Trail is not accessible due to the road closure on PR 314 between Manigotagan River and the junction of PR 304. Check www.manitoba511.ca before travelling to the park for road conditions.
Spruce Woods Provincial Park
- Spring Ridge Self-guiding Trail has a closed bridge halfway around the trail due to bank erosion. Trail remains open for in-and-out access only; do not attempt to cross the bridge. Bridge is being assessed for repairs.
Whiteshell Provincial Park
- The South Whiteshell Trail between Faloma and West Hawk is closed at the Trans Canada Highway underpass due to construction activity. Trail users must turn around – no through traffic. Closure is expected to remain in place through the 2023 winter season. (Map)
