Note: The 2022-2023 Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care Wage Grid has been updated and will replace the proposed Wage Grid outlined in the 2021-2026 Canada-Manitoba Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.
95 per cent of all licensed child care operators in Manitoba are non-profit facilities, and boards of directors are responsible for establishing wages at these non-profit facilities. The Wage Grid is a guide to assist boards in determining staff wage ranges. However, boards are encouraged to pay hourly rates more than those outlined in the starting point grid as the facility’s budget allows.
