Provincial Housing Consultation

The Manitoba government is inviting Manitobans to participate in a survey on housing needs that will help shape the future priorities of Manitoba Housing.

Overview

Housing is central to the health and well being of individuals and families. Manitoba Housing delivers a range of housing programs and services, particularly for low-and moderate-income households and those with special needs. Manitoba Housing also provides support to emergency shelters and homelessness programs.

Purpose

Access to stable and affordable housing has many far-reaching benefits connected to community, economic and social development. It includes collaboration between government, communities, non-profit organizations and the private sector.

Input about your housing needs and the housing needs in your community will help ensure that our priorities remain relevant.

Your feedback on the following themes is important and will help us develop a shared vision for housing solutions in Manitoba that is practical, sustainable and community-driven;

  • Addressing homelessness
  • Condition of existing social (subsidized) and affordable housing
  • Affordability of housing
  • Supports for existing and potential homeowners

Feedback will be summarized in a public, provincial "What We Heard" report, and will contribute to the development of a Provincial housing strategy for Manitoba
