The Archives of Manitoba, including the Hudson’s Bay Company Archives, acquires and preserves records documenting the history of Manitoba and the history of the Hudson’s Bay Company.  In acquiring records of both government and the private sector, the Archives of Manitoba strives to preserve a balanced record of the province’s history.
