Auto Body and Collision Technician

Auto Body and Collision Technicians restore the structural integrity of damaged vehicles by straightening frames, fixing minor body damage, removing badly damaged sections and priming and painting all repaired surfaces. As an Auto Body and Collision Technician, you will also repair and/or replace vehicle glass and interior and exterior components of the vehicle. Duties also include verifying dimensional accuracy, system functions, passenger protection, proper alignment and proper handling.

Employers include autobody repair shops, auto dealerships, specialty automobile shops and public transit systems.
