Sprinkler Fitter

A sprinkler fitter installs and maintains water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry chemical fire protection systems in buildings. Duties include reading drawings and specifications; planning system layouts; preparing written cost estimates; and communicating with customers.

Mechanical construction firms, plumbing contractors, heating and air-conditioning companies, and building developers all employ sprinkler fitters.
